Tom Hiddleston at almost 7pm still signing autographs. The venue closed at 7pm but he was still signing when I left and they had already turned most of the lights off. All the celebrities really went above and beyond. Sebastian Stan, Chris Hemsworth and Tom all had to add another autograph session when they were already supposed to be finished. I watched Sebastian, even after signing however many hundreds of autographs, stay late to sign free photos for the volunteers and gave them all big hugs.
I don’t have any complaints about any of the celebrities, they all were as friendly as they could be. Ive heard some complaints that they were ‘rude", I think that’s people being disappointed about how rushed everything was and you couldn’t just stand there telling your life story because there was probably 200 people waiting behind you.
Wizard World completely mismanaged the entire event. They sold way too many tickets and scheduled each event much too close together. I can’t think of a single event (besides the panels) that wasn’t delayed by at least an hour and some things had to be cancelled/rescheduled. They expected each celebrity guest to be able to do three things at once. I watched Tom Hiddleston do at least 800 photo-ops in a row because they scheduled them all back to back (that doesn’t even count however many photos he took in the morning session). Then as soon as that was over he had to go sign 200+ autographs that lasted until after the show was over when he was supposed to be able to leave at 5.
Seriously they worked these celebrities like dogs and seemed more concerned with how much money they could get off the tickets than the logistics of planning the event. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of them never return (I know I wont) but they were still very friendly and tried to have a little chat with everyone (i even made Luke Windsor laugh which could be the highlight of my day because you rarely see him not looking very stern)
Stupid schedule, figures
