so i got to meet my idol today, the one and only tom hiddleston. i made him laugh twice, he gave me a hug and held my hands. it was the best experience ever for me. to meet my favourite celebrity and him actually speak to me for a few minutes.
I also had the honour of meeting jessica, she was absolutely perfect and nice and friendly. she gave me a hug and gave off happiness
i just want to say thank you to both for making june 6th 2014 a day i will never forget
How was it like meeting the cast of Crimson Peak, especially Mr. Hiddleston? I have never met him before. But really wanted to. If you don’t mind me asking….I only wanted to know. :)
It was a lot of things!
To begin with, it was a long wait. I showed up at around 11:00 in the afternoon, and they didn’t finish filming until about 5-6 I think?
Lines were forming by noon so I was thankful I got there early haha.
As for actually meeting them, oh my god. Like I said before, it was very surreal. Their lovely assistants would come out now and then to herd us into neatly filed lines, and thank us for waiting patiently and politely, and remind us that this was a very long day of filming, and the cast was very tired, and that there was no guarantee that they would come out to visit us.
Which, after so many hours of waiting, I was fine with! I met some amazing new friends in the line, we shared a pizza-which was an adventure in itself, having it delivered to a parking lot, lol. The people around me really made the day an event, and even if the actors didn’t want to come out to visit us, I had a wonderful day regardless!
THAT SAID, Jessica and Tom were absolute saints, in that they came out to a group of no less than 150-200 people, and happily filed through all of us with smiles and handshakes and autographs and photos. I had to leave just after I met them, so I can;t say for certain whether every person there was met, but I get the feeling that they tried their hardest to meet every fan today.
JESSICA WAS SO SWEET. Oh my gosh she gave me the butterflies she was such a dear. Her assistant mentioned that she was feeling under the weather, and she was very apologetic, making sure to remind everyone to take their echinacea with a laugh and a smile. We shared a moment between Jessicas, which was funny. Every Jessica I’ve met is always excited to meet another Jessica, hehe.
As for Tom, oh man. MAN. I was Severely starstruck, I won’t lie. He was a perfect gentleman, and even despite being filming since about 4:00am that day, he came out with a cheer and arms raised to triumphantly welcome his fans. Since there was such a volume of people, there was a hurried, but polite rush to get through all of us, so there wasn’t really time for chatting beyond a hello and a thank you for meeting us after such a long day.
I dunno if it’s melodramatic or me just still caught up in the moment, but I just absolutely love when big stars like them take the time to meet their fans, and do it with a smile and an obvious delight to be there, and meet the sort of people who sit in a parking lot for hours just to shake their hand and thank them for their work.
Obviously they won’t remember every person they meet, but for one fan, it’s definitely a memory that will persist forever.
